Programs for Growth & Access

Our programs are designed to meet people where they are and help them move forward.
From free community cooking classes to hands-on entrepreneurship education and mentorship, Northside Common Market invests in people, skills, and opportunity. We work alongside neighbors, schools, and community partners to strengthen the local entrepreneurship ecosystem and create pathways for individuals and small businesses to grow and thrive.

Free community Cooking Classes

Our Free Community Cooking Classes remove barriers to learning essential life skills.
Classes offer hands-on cooking instruction, nutrition education, and guidance on preparing affordable meals, all at no cost to participants. Led by local food entrepreneurs, the program supports healthier food choices, skill development, and stronger connections within the community.

“This mentoring session was truly eye-opening. Mrs. Tatum’s guidance, knowledge, and encouragement challenged me to think deeper and see my vision more clearly. She genuinely wants to see entrepreneurs succeed, and her insight is unmatched.” Brandis Beaumont

Mentorship

Mentorship at Northside Common Market is rooted in relationship and real-world experience.
We connect entrepreneurs with trusted mentors who offer guidance, encouragement, and practical insight at critical stages of growth. The program focuses on meeting business owners where they are and helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.

Community Impact

Our Community Impact work focuses on expanding access to entrepreneurship education and resources beyond traditional spaces. Through partnerships with schools, civic organizations, and community groups, we engage directly with youth and residents to share information about the local entrepreneurship ecosystem and pathways to business ownership. This work helps build awareness, confidence, and meaningful community connections.
